Confined Space Training is an essential training needed by our workers because of the hazards that comes with working in confined spaces. A confined space is defined as enclosed or partially enclosed space that has a restricted entrance or exit way and is not primarily designed for human occupancies such as tanks, silos, manholes, storage, cellars, sewers, pipes, boilers or vaults. It can be below or above the ground.
A confined space can be more hazardous than regular workspaces for many reasons because of poor air quality, chemical exposures, inhalation of ‘bad air’, radiation, temperature extremes collapse of materials, fire hazard, electrical shock and visibility.
We are thankful that Occupational Safety Health Center Philippines gave us this safety training, so our team will be working safely in confined spaces.
